Rosario Viteri, devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt, passed away unexpectedly on April 30th, 2020. She was 77 and a very hardworking and religious person. The daughter of Teofilo and Rosaura Avendaño, Rosario was born on October 5, 1942 in Huancayo, Junín, Peru.
Rosario emigrated to the United States in 1979 and settled in White Plains. Prior to working for New York Presbyterian Hospital in White Plains for 18 years, she worked for the White Plains School district in the hospitality industry.
Rosario will be remembered as a loving, caring, warm, strong and dedicated woman who loved her family. She instilled in us a strong sense of faith and self-esteem. If she was still here with us she would say, "Be strong, don't cry, I will always be with you. I love you!"
Rosario is survived by her three children (Marco, Shona and Cynthia Viteri) grandchildren (Samara, Sean, Jasmine, William, Shona and Marco), great grand child Sean and her three siblings(Victor, Gloria, Jose Luis Avendaño).
Private family viewing will be held on May 13, 2020 at 9:40 am. at Ballard-Duran Funeral Home in White Plains NY. The burial will be held right after at 11:30 am. at Kensico Cemetery in Valhalla NY.
