Maria F Madera

Maria Madera (Bottino) 97, from White Plains NY passed away peacefully in her home on May 18, 2017. Marie was born in Bisignano Italy on April 17, 1920 to Teresa Corliolano and Joseph Bottino. She came to the United States in 1932 with her sister Antoinette Pisa (deceased) to join their father and start a new life here in America. She married Michael Madera (deceased) on December 30th, 1945 in White Plains at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. Family gave her the most joy. She was a member of the Columbiettes and enjoyed running the Italian Ice Booth at the OLMC Festa for many years. Marie is survived by her six children, Michael (Fran) Madera, Rose Marie (Dan) Gizzo, Joseph (Brenda) Madera, Donald (Cathy) Madera, David (Debbie) Madera, and Teresa (Dave) Dawson. She is also survived by her three sisters-in-law, Dolly Davis, Grace Frawley, and Mary Pointer-Trout. She leaves behind 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at 10:00AM at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, White Plains. Friends may call Sunday and Monday from 4-8PM at the Ballard-Durand Funeral Home, 2 Maple Avenue at South Broadway, White Plains.
