Joan Dorothy Pearson Meyer passed away on February 25, 2020 at Brookdale Senior Living facility in
Wayne, NJ. Joan was born in August 1934 to Elmer and Dorothy Pearson in Danbury, CT. She is
predeceased by her beloved husband Henry Meyer. Joan is survived by her children Eric Meyer and his
wife Deborah of Easton, PA; Gretchen Meyer of Valhalla, NY; Kathy Santers and her husband Scott of
Pompton Lakes, NJ; and her grandchildren Nicole, Mario, Brent, Morgan, Paige, Gabrielle, and Brooke.
Joan was blessed with the second love of her life, Edward Waldinger, for the last 2½ years. Music was a
huge part of Joan's life and she sang in the choir at St. Matthews Lutheran Church for almost 50 years.
She was also a member of the Sweet Adelines and the Westchester Choral Society. Joan worked in the
Controller's Office in the Town of Mount Pleasant and was the Treasurer for the Byram Hills School
District until her retirement in 2003. She was strong in her faith, an avid reader, and had a wonderful
sense of humor. Joan will always be remembered for her loving heart, intelligence and sharp wit.
