Honor June Shofi

Honor June Shofi, of White Plains, NY, passed away on August 18, 2016 at the age of 88. She was born on June 9, 1928 in High Wycombe, England to Alfred and Anne (Healy) Moxham. Honor (aka “Gee”) was predeceased by her husband, Robert A. Shofi in 2002. Honor was known for her beautiful knitting, playing cards, reading and doing puzzles. She is survived by her four children; Susan Shofi, Joanne Capolongo (Anthony), Charles Shofi, and Robert Shofi (Maria); her grandchildren, Dawn, Lisa, Tommy, Artie, Ronnie, Kim, and one great-granddaughter on the way. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, August 23 at 10 AM at St. Bartholomew’s Episcopal Church, 82 Prospect Street, White Plains, NY followed by interment at Kensico Cemetery. Friends may call at the Ballard-Durand Funeral Home, 2 Maple Avenue at South Broadway, White Plains, NY on Monday, August 22 from 4 – 9 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
