Charles H S. Mallis

Mallis, Charles H.S., Capt. USAF (ret), 58. of Scarsdale, NY, died October 15, 2009. Chuck was the adoring and beloved husband of Laurie Thomas and devoted father of Spears (Byron), Jillian and Ian. A dear son, brother, son-in-law, uncle and nephew. A true friend cherished by those whose lives he touched.

Born in Coral Gables, Florida, Chuck received his aeronautical engineering degree from Georgia Tech and his MBA from the University of Utah. He proudly served in the US Air Force in Southeast Asia and Europe and upon retirement from the Air Force, began his career in the banking industry.

His greatest joy was his three children. His greatest comfort was the love of his wife. His strength was his Scarsdale circle of friends he called the Other Family. He was a true patriot; loyal to his country, his community and his family.

Shiva will be observed at the family home.
