Alfred C. Caligiuri, Jr. (Junior) age 68, of Rye Brook, New York, departed on February 5, 2020, after his diagnosis and battle with cancer.

Alfred was born in New York City on April 10,1951, to parents Jean Caligiuri and Alfred Caligiuri Sr. He was the last-born child and is survived by his siblings Louis, Carol, and Janet.

Alfred married Margaret Evans on November 17,1978; they were married for 41 years. Together a total of 49 years, Margaret never left his side. Their relationship modeled true love and devotion.

Alfred is survived by his wife Margaret, five children: Jean, Alfred, Kristy, Jill, and Jimmy; six grandchildren: Isabella, Christian, James Jr., Joseph Jr., Alyssa, and Sergio; his brother Louie, sisters Carol and Janet, nieces and nephews, and other family and friends. Alfred was a loving husband, devoted father, and a mentor to family and friends. He was a positive influence who provided unmeasurable support to everyone he knew.

Alfred worked as a manager for Verizon for 30 years where he later retired in 1994. After his retirement, he worked as a manager for RCN. He also worked as substitute for the Port Chester School system up until he received his diagnosis. Alfred enjoyed working with the young kids as they reminded him of his grandchildren he adored.

In his free time, Alfred enjoyed fishing, playing music, and spending time with family and friends. Alfred had a passion for music. He played in a rock band for over 30 years, where he was the lead singer and played guitar. Music always brought so much joy to his life. Everyone who knows Junior, knows that he would whistle a tune all day long and that is how we would know that he was so happy. We will forever miss the whistling around the house that made us all smile.

Alfred had strong faith in God, and he believed in Jesus Christ. He always encouraged others to read the bible. Alfred (Junior) was the best man anyone could ever have known. Although he will be missed dearly, we find comfort in knowing he has gone to be with Jesus.
