Ye ("Gloria") Li passed away peacefully on October 28, 2021 at Phelps Memorial Hospital in Sleepy Hollow, New York at the age of 52 after an extended illness.

Gloria was born on March 7, 1969 in Shenyang, China and was raised by her parents, Gui Wang Lian and Dingjiu Li. She grew up as the youngest of three children. As a teenager, she moved to Toronto, Canada with her family, where she became a Canadian citizen.

Upon graduation from high school, Gloria attended the University of Windsor in Ontario, Canada and later received a master's degree in computer engineering from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. Following graduate school, she permanently moved to the United States and began her career as a software engineer for various Wall Street firms until transitioning to a project manager role for the IT and automated legal support departments of leading New York law firms. She initially resided in New Jersey before permanently moving to New York in 2001.

In 2008, Gloria married Steven Riker with a reception at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York, and, in 2013, they had twin daughters, Elle and Estee, who were the pride and joy of Gloria's life. After the birth of Elle and Estee, the family initially moved to Scarsdale, New York, before settling in Briarcliff Manor, New York, which they cherished as a warm and nurturing community for their children.

Gloria was extremely passionate about life and enjoyed exploring new restaurants, cultural events, jazz music, and photography. However, her greatest passion was her unwavering dedication and commitment to her family and friends, and especially her children, to whom she was the greatest mother imaginable. Gloria’s love and affection for her children will forever be embedded in the fabric of their sweet demeanor and will provide an indelible memory for all those who were blessed to encounter her.

Gloria is survived by her husband, Steven Riker, and their children, Elle and Estee, of Briarcliff Manor, New York; her parents, Gui Wang Lian and Dingjiu Li; her brothers, Xiqing (“Sydney”) Li and Xilian (“William”) Li; and many nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law, and many dear friends she considered her family.
