Winifred Keeney

Winifred Keeney 88, of Hawthorne, N.Y. and formerly of Brooklyn, N.Y. died on March 24, 2012 at Phelps Memorial Hospital Center in Sleepy Hollow, NY. She was born on Nov. 7, 1923 to the late Bernard and Ellen (nee Kennedy) McGlashin in Frosses Co. Donegal, Ireland. She was predeceased by her devoted husband Thomas Joseph Keeney in 1986, one sister and three brothers. Winifred is survived by her loving daughters Maureen (Kevin) Hopkins of Hawthorne, N.Y. and Helen (John) Castro of Thornwood, N.Y. one brother, Bernard McGlashin of Brooklyn, N.Y. Also survived by her seven cherished grandchildren. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home, on Monday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral Mass, Holy Rosary Church, Hawthorne, N.Y. on Tuesday 10 AM.
