Winifred O'Hanlon Foy passed away on September 27, 2016 in St. Petersburg, Florida only one month after the gala celebration of her 100th Birthday. Winnie was born August 25, 1916 in Liverpool, England to Peter and Catherine Murphy. She came to New York City in 1921 and was raised in the Bronx with her two brothers and her sister. In 1942, she married John (Jack) O'Hanlon. They had 4 children. They lived in the Throggs Neck section of the Bronx, NY, in St. Benedict's Parish. They moved to Putnam Valley, N.Y. for several years and in 1976, retired to Delray Beach, Florida. Jack passed away in 1978. In 1982, she married Raymond Foy. They moved to Treasure Island, FL in 2000. Raymond passed away in 2001. Since living in Treasure Island Winnie has been a member of the Treasure Islettes; a member of the Action Club of Treasure Island and a parishioner of St. John Vianney Church. She is survived by her four children: John (Jack) O'Hanlon with wife Janet, of Somers, N.Y.; Rosemary Thompson, of St. Petersburg, FL; Robert (Bob) O'Hanlon, and his wife, Nel, of Bradenton, FL; Joseph (Joe) O'Hanlon and his wife, Diana of Glendale, CA; nephew, Peter Murphy, of Cincinnati, OH, and several other nieces and nephews. She is further survived by 8 grandchildren, several step- grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and several step great-grandchildren. There will be a funeral Mass at Saint John Vianney Roman Catholic Church in St. Pete Beach Florida on Saturday, October 1. Funeral Service, Hawthorne Funeral Home, Hawthorne, NY on Monday at 11:30 AM. Burial to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne, New York.
