William C. Tillistrand

William C. Tillistrand 83, of Thornwood, N.Y. died on Sept. 11, 2009 at Northern Westchester Hospital Center in Mt. Kisco, N.Y. He was born on Dec. 27, 1925 to the late Edward Charles and Mary (nee Gartelmann)Tillistrand in NYC. He proudly served in the US Navy during WW11. William was an engineer with New York Telephone Co.in NYC. He was predeceased by his devoted wife Rita (nee Browne) Tillistrand in 2008 and 1 brother Edward Tillistrand. William is survived by his loving children: William D. Tillistrand and his wife Marguerite of Yorktown Hgts., N.Y. Kathleen Souza of Hopewell Jct., N.Y. and Joan Tillistrand of White Plains, N.Y. 1 sister Annemarie Losey. Also survived by his 4 cherished grandchildren: Michael and Thomas Tillistrand and Alfred III and Kenneth (Doreen) Martirano. and 3 great grandchildren. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral Mass, Holy Rosary Church, Hawthorne, N.Y. on Monday 10 AM. Interment, Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, N.Y.
