William A. Sanderson

William A. Sanderson 72, of Hawthorne, N.Y. died on Sept. 12,2019 at White Plains Hospital. He was born on Feb. 8,1947 to the late Steven and Rosalind (nee Feinberg) Sanderson in Bronx, N.Y. He proudly served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. William enjoyed playing Golf, with his friends and was an avid Giants and Yankees Fan. He also loved a good Political Debate and enjoyed dining out with his friends. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Theresa (nee Annunziato) Sanderson in 2014 and his brother, Robert Sanderson in 2013 and sister, Jane Smietana in 2017. William is survived by his loving daughters, Rachael (Robert) Benz of Hawthorne, N.Y. and Melissa (Michael) Kelly of Yorktown Hgts., N.Y. also survived by his four cherished grandchildren, Gianna and Nicholas Benz and Ava and Lilah Kelly. Also survived by his many loving cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Monday, 4-8 PM. Family will be gathering at funeral home on Tuesday morning at 10 AM. Entombment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, N.Y. with Full Military Honors on Tuesday, 11 AM.
