William “Billy/Pug” Pugh, son of William Taft and Joyce Walker, was born in Bronx, NY on February 3, 1947. He departed this life on July 11, 2023, at the golden age of 76.
Billy attended Samuel Gompers High School in the Bronx, NY. He lived all his life in New York City. He worked for the United States Postal Service and retired after 44 years. While working for the USPS he drove tractor trailer and served as a union representative. After his retirement he took another employment opportunity driving tractors for the Keystone Freight Corporation in Secaucus, NJ from 2008 until his passing.
Billy was a Mason for over 40 years at different lodges most recently he served as the Worshipful Master at the King Solomon #3 masonic lodge.
Billy was preceded in death by his father William and mother Joyce. He leaves to cherish his memory brother Howard Pugh, sister Judy Sabater James, his children Kaaryn Pugh Stanford (Floyd), William Jamel Johnson (Jameela), Reginald Carr Powell and Marquez Hurlston, grandchildren Amber Stanford, T’Shyne Johnson, and Layla Johnson. As well as his former wife, Dianne Rabb, multiple nieces and nephews, Michelle, Clayton, Ari, Jasmine, Yolanda, Gabrielle and a host of beloved cousins, family and friends too multiple to name.
