Bill Holderman, long term resident of White Plains and most recently living in Charlestown, Rhode Island, died in his home on Monday, January 11, 2010. He is survived by his sister, Nancy Durante and her spouse, Paul, of White Plains and his two children, John William and his wife, Kathryn, living in Washington, DC and Kaity Eileen who resides with her mother, Marjorie Holderman, in Patterson, New York. Bill grew up in White Plains and attended White Plains high School where he played ice hockey and spent his summers on the water in Mamaroneck. He received his undergraduate degree from St. Lawrence University and his Masters Degree in Guidance and Counseling from the University of Bridgeport. He initially worked as a Guidance Councilor at the Anne Dorner Middle School in Ossining and ended his career as a high School councilor at John Jay High School in Katonah. His loving parents Bill and Winnie, were both teachers in the White Plains and North Salem School Districts. Bill was a devoted father and a great friend to so many and will be deeply missed.
