William Harrison

William Harrison passed away on December 22, 2014 at the age of 83. Born in 1931, he was one of six children, born and raised in the Clason Point section of the Bronx, NYC. He attended Syracuse University and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Following the war, he moved to White Plains and began his 31 year career at IBM. It was there that he met his wife, Elizabeth. They had three children. He was a loyal fan of the Mets, Giants and Syracuse Orangemen basketball. He enjoyed playing golf, watching softball at Delfino Park, visiting family and 'the simple life.' William is survived by his wife Elizabeth, his children Douglas, Richard and Cindy and five grandchildren Ashley, Lindsay, Grace, Clayton and Jack. A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 26th, at 11 am at the Ballard-Durand Funeral Home, 2 Maple Ave, White Plains. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society are greatly appreciated.
