William H. Geary

William H. Geary 89, of Thornwood, N.Y. died on July 6, 2014. He was born on
Sept.13, 1924 to the late William and Sarah Geary in NYC. He proudly served in the
US Navy in both WWII and Korea. Bill was a retired stereotyper with the NY Post.
He was predeceased by his devoted wife, Catherine (nee Burke) Geary in 1999 and
by his daughter in law, Pamela and son in law, Michael Tighe and two brothers, Harold
and John Geary. William is survived by his loving children, William P. (Elizabeth) Geary
of Smithfield, RI, Michael T. (Colette) Geary of New Rochelle, N.Y., Kathryn M. (Walter)
Moran of Hawthorne, N.Y. and Patricia A. Tighe of Bridgewater, NJ. one sister, Mary
(Steve) McLaughlin of Mahwah, NJ. also survived by his ten cherished grandchildren and two great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Wednesday, 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral Mass, Holy Rosary Church,
Hawthorne, N.Y. on Thursday, 10 AM. Interment, Maryrest Cemetery, Mahwah, NJ.
