William George Alderisio

William George Alderisio 91, of Valhalla, N.Y. died on Nov. 4,2021 at his residence.

Suddenly the brilliance of the world is a bit dimmer now that William George Alderisio has left this earth. Bronx born and raised, he earned an undergraduate degree from Syracuse University and a Masters from Columbia University. A true Renaissance man, William had a shockingly broad knowledge of art, history, politics, illustration, cartooning and photography. He spent two years in the Army’s psychological warfare division, training that was no doubt essential in raising the five children he had with his wife Joan to whom he was married for almost 68 years.

An award-winning art director, William will forever be remembered for his boisterous laugh, his crazy sense of humor and his love of ghoulish horror movies. Count William to be amongst the finest of men. He was an energetic soul who always seemed to come alive at night.

William has wings now and he flies with the angels.

A funeral mass will be held at Holy Name of Jesus Church, Valhalla, NY on Saturday November 13 ^th at 10:00 AM.
