Wilfrido C. Pinna

Wilfrido C. Pinna, 87 of Croton on Hudson and formerly of Elmsford, NY died on July 17, 2015. Wilfrido was born in New York City on June 12, 1928 to Pompilio and Vincenza (nee Festa) Pinna. He was a long time Verizon technician in White Plains, NY. He was a Past Commander of the Butler Johnson American Legion Post in Elmsford, N.Y. and a member of the William J. Boyle American Legion Post in Verplanck, N.Y. Past President of Cortlandt Seniors, and involved in many other organizations. Wilfrido was predeceased by his wife Nancy R. (nee Cedrone) Pinna in 2015, son Wilfred Pinna in 1994 and brother John B. Pinna. He will be dearly missed by his children, Mary (Bill) Lauro, Nancy (Howard) Barrow, Paul (Bobbi) Pinna and Virginia Pinna, grandchildren, William and Thomas Lauro, Steven, Jennifer and Michael Pinna, Michelle and David Barrow. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Wednesday, 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral Mass St. Christopher's Church, Buchanan, N.Y. on Thursday, 10 AM. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Greenburgh, N.Y. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Leukemia Society, 1311 Mamaroneck Avenue #310, White Plains, NY 10605.
