Warren J. Ozarowski of Tarrytown, NY died December 20, 2011. He was 57 years old. Warren was born on June 12, 1954 in Yonkers, NY to Ann and the late Peter C. Ozarowski. He graduated from Sacred Heart High School where he was a member of the drama club and played the Tinman in the Wizard of Oz. He received his BS from Mercy College where he earned his license to teach Special Education and grade school grades Kindergarten through 6th. Warren worked as a child care counselor at the Children's Village in Dobbs Ferry in the mid 70's and George J. Leisure School also in Dobbs Ferry. For most of his life Warren worked as a cable splicer for Verizon and played on the company softball team. He married Audrey Anderson on April 28, 1989. Warren was a member of the Amackassin Club in Yonkers. Along with his mother and wife, Warren is survived by his brother Peter (Colette) Ozarowski, Jr. and his mother-in-law Janet Anderson. He was a beloved uncle to Dale Purrington, Dawn Hameline, Karen Culumovic, Natalie Smith, Alison Alka, Diana Paterline and Peter Ozarowski III and several grand nieces and grand nephews. He was predeceased by his father and sister June Lacy. Warren was an avid traveler, sports fan and collector who loved the New York Jets and New York Yankees. He was also a history buff. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at 10:00AM at the Ballard-Durand Funeral Home (formally McElroy Funeral Home), 72 East Main Street, Elmsford. The family will receive friends Monday, December 26, 2011 from 5-8pm at the funeral home.
