Walter C. Olam 97, of Yonkers, N.Y. died on May 16,2017. He was born on Feb.21,1920 to the late William and Augusta (nee Melinsky) Olam in Mt.Vernon, N.Y. He proudly served in the US Navy in 1941. Walter was a retired salesman with Honeywell Security in NYC. He was predeceased by his devoted wife, Eleanor (nee Wiecke) Olam in 2013 and is survived by his loving sons, Robert Olam of Yonkers, N.Y., John (Lucy) Olam of Yonkers, N.Y. and James Olam of Montgomery, N.Y. also survived by his two cherished grandchildren, Melissa and Christopher Olam. Also survived by his several nieces and nephews. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Monday, 7-9 PM. Where funeral services will be held at 8 PM. Interment Private.
