Walter E. Covert 80, of Pleasantville, N.Y. died on Nov.7, 2017. He was born on August 17, 1937 to the late Frank and Jeannette (nee Kelly) Covert in White Plains, N.Y. He was a retired House Painter with Hudson Shatz Painting in NYC. Walter loved Old Cars, Country Music and most of all his family. He is survived by his devoted wife, Barbara (nee Hennings) Covert of Pleasantville, N.Y. and by his loving children, Walter Covert of Somers, N.Y. and Barbara (Patrick) Sherman of Pine Bush, N.Y. also survives is his son-in-law Dominick DeVito of Howard Beach, N.Y. and his two cherished grandchildren, Samantha (Matthew Gershowitz) Sherman and Joseph Sherman and two sisters. He was predeceased by his beloved daughter, Susan DeVito in 2009 and by his three brothers and one sister. Visiting at Hawthorne Funeral Home on Sunday, Nov.19, 2017 from 1-4 PM. Interment Private.
