Virginia D. Hagen, 87, of White Plains NY, formerly of Valhalla, NY, was walked home to the Lord on November 18, 2019, surrounded by her loving children. Born on February 9, 1932 in Rockville Centre, NY, Virginia was the daughter of the late Rudolph P. and Sarah Irene Hagen.
Virginia, a lifelong poet, was a member of the Greenwich chapter of the National League of American Pen Women. Her 3 volume "Behind My Eyes" collection was published in 2007. In addition to writing poetry, Virginia's passions included spending time with her family, attending mass and being a Eucharistic minister and experiencing beautiful sunrises on the beaches of Long Beach Island, New Jersey
Virginia's love of God and her family will live on forever. We will miss our Mom, Grandma and Mema, but will always feel her love.
Virginia is survived by her children, Bill Morris Jr. (Susan), Kathy Morris-Karl (Mike), Jim Morris, Mary Beth Morris, Nancy Morris, Chris Morris, Reverend Robert Morris and Kerry Orlich (Robert); grandchildren Bill Morris III, Tim Morris, Patrick Morris, Mike Karl Jr., Mick Morris, Vance Morris and Bobby Orlich Jr., and great grandchildren Brooke, Daniel and Conor Morris.
Virginia was preceded in death by her sister, Beverly Cannon and daughter-in law Melinda Morris.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Blythedale Children's Hospital or St. Bernard's Church.
