Vincent J. DeAngelis 81, of Valhalla, N.Y. died on Dec.31, 2011 at Hebrew Hospital Home of Westchester. He was born on August 2, 1930 to the late John and Ascenza (nee Valente) DeAngelis in Yonkers, N.Y. Vincent graduated Yonkers High School, Class of 1949 and then proudly served in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He worked for the County of Westchester Dept. of Engineering in White Plains, N.Y. for 25 years retiring in 1985. He was a member of the Mt.Pleasant Library Board, the Mt.Pleasant Rotary Club, The American Society for Hospital Engineering and the Thornwood American Legion. He is survived by his devoted wife, Barbara (nee Spagnolo) DeAngelis of Valhalla, N.Y. his loving daughters, Janet (David) Andrews and Elizabeth (Tim) Kennedy both of South Salem, N.Y. one brother, Alber (Frances) DeAngelis of Somers, N.Y. Also survived by his five cherished grandchildren, Aiden and Caroline Andrews and William, Annie and Jessica Kennedy. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home, on Wednesday, 2-4 and 7-9 PM. where funeral services will be held on Thursday 10:30 AM. Interment, Kensico Cemetery, Valhalla, N.Y.
