Vincent Caminiti, 90, of Hawthorne, NY passed away on Thursday, September 30 at White Plains Hospital. Vincent was born and raised in West Harrison, NY where he met and married the love of his life Anita (nee Sinistorie) before moving to Hawthorne in 1966. He was a manager of visual merchandising for various retail outlets including Lord & Taylor, John Wanamaker, and Fortunoff. After retiring, he continued his design work for local businesses throughout Westchester.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife, his parents, Rocco and Rose (nee Macera), brother Frank and sister Gloria. Vincent Caminiti is survived by his daughter, Jan, his two sons, Keith and Brian (Kathy), and his only grandchild, Kaitlin; the light of his life.
He will always be remembered for his positive outlook on life and the devotion he had for his family.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, October 3, at the Ballard-Durand Funeral Home in White Plains from 2pm to 6pm. There will be a Funeral Mass on Monday, October 4, at the Holy Rosary Church at 12pm, with entombment at Gate Of Heaven Cemetery to follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to a charity of your choice in Vincent’s name.
