Valerie A. Celano 79, formerly of Ossining and Valhalla, N.Y. died on June 14, 2014.
She was born on July 30, 1934 to the late Donald and Ann (nee Acker) Heagney in Hawthorne, N.Y. Valerie was a retired bookkeeper with I. Schwartz & Sons Hardware
in Hartsdale, N.Y. She is survived by her loving children, David Celano of Wappingers Falls, N.Y., Ellen Celano of Ringwood, NJ, Valerie Carlson of Bethel, Conn. and
Anne Mosel (Jack) of Lake Carmel, N.Y. one sister, Katharine Cahill and three brothers,
Paul, Phil and Leslie Heagney. Also survived by her two cherished granddaughters,
Tina Beville and Julie Keefe. Predeceased by her one brother, Donald Heagney and her former husband, Nicholas E. Celano in 2014. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on
Tuesday, 2-4 and 7-9 PM. where funeral services will be held at 8 PM. Interment at her
family plot at Hawthorne Dutch Reformed Church Cemetery, Hawthorne, N.Y. In lieu of flowers donations to Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinsons Research at michealjfox.org would be appreciated.
