Thomas Oliver Raftery

Thomas Oliver Raftery, 66, Scarsdale, NY, passed away on January 1, 2023.

Tom was born on October 3, 1956 to Thomas W. Raftery and Clara Raftery in Astoria, NY. He is the youngest sibling to sisters Maureen, Susan and Claudia.

In 1972, Tom met the love of his life, Mariann Dirico on Sklar in Woodside, and they were married 4 years later on November 14, 1976. They went on to have three children, Thomas (Christine), Marisa (Jeff), Mia (James) and five grandchildren Jared, Thomas, Mackenzie, Lucas, and Ellie.

He was a generous man who dedicated his life to loving and supporting his family until the end. His family and friends all knew him as the witty jack-of-all-trades, and someone that they could count on to help with anything. He was always the first to help anyone, but the last to accept help from others.
