Thomas W. Palamara

Thomas W. Palamara 87, of Hawthorne, N.Y. died on Jan. 13, 2013 at Phelps Memorial Hospital Center in Sleepy Hollow, N.Y. He was born on March 9, 1925 to the late Joseph and Lucy (Giorno) Palamara in White Plains, N.Y. He was a retired custodian for the Valhalla School District. Thomas was predeceased by his devoted wife Sophie (nee Dandreano) Palamara in 2011 and by his daughter, Patricia McLean in 1995, his brother, Joseph Palamara and sister, Rose Tropiano. He is survived by his loving children, Thomas J. (Terry) Palamara of Hawthorne, N.Y.and Barbara (Kenneth) Heverly of Hopewell Jct., N.Y. and son in law Ian McLean of Stormville, N.Y. Also survived by his four cherished grandchildren, Kristen, Dawn, Kari and Eddie and six great grandchildren, Joey, Arianna, Eden, Fiona, Savannah and Little Eddie. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home, on Thursday, 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral Mass, Holy Rosary Church, Hawthorne, N.Y. on Friday, 10 AM. Interment, Mt.Calvary Cemetery, Greenburgh, N.Y. In lieu of flowers donations to either Alzheimer's Assoc. or American Cancer Society would be appreciated.
