Thomas N. Mazzola

Thomas N. Mazzola, 71 of Hawthorne, NY, (formally of New Rochelle, N.Y.) passed away on August 7 ^th 2021 surrounded by his loved ones. Tom was born on October 7, 1949 and raised in Brooklyn, N.Y. to the late Santo Thomas and Lillian (nee D’Avanzo) Mazzola. He is survived by his devoted wife, Carol Ann (nee D’Adamo) Mazzola and by his beloved children, Danielle (Joe) Ragonesi of Hawthorne, NY, and Thomas Mazzola of New Rochelle, NY, his cherished grandchildren Emma Angela and Zoe Grace; His Sisters Jackie (George) Santulli, Clorinda (Bill) Bailey, Gloria Mazzola, and Joseph (Estelle) Mazzola. Predeceased by his brother Nicholas (Jeanette) Mazzola. Tom proudly served in the United States Army in Vietnam from 1969-1970.  Tom was a retired Supervisor, Construction Project Manager, Level 3 with the NYC Department of Housing, Preservation, and Development.  He was a volunteer first responder at Ground Zero after the attacks on 9/11 and devoted his time to community service. Thomas's love of life didn’t come to an end with his passing – his legacy lives on through the lives he touched with his love, care, laughter and light.  Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Thursday, August 12, 2021 from 3-9 P.M. where Funeral Services will be held on Friday, 10 AM. Interment, Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, N.Y. In lieu of flowers donation may be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital, and Disabled American Veterans.
