Thomas J. Horan (Bud), died Tuesday, July 17th, in St. Petersburg, Florida at the age of 82. Formerly of Peekskill and N. White Plains, N.Y. Bud entered the N.Y. Air National Guard as a 20 year old private and became an officer in his thirties. He retired after 32 years as a Lt. Colonel. He was a parishioner of Holy Name of Jesus in Valhalla for over 40 years. At Holy Name of Jesus Church he was on the parish council, taught religious education and served as a Eucharistic Minister and Commentator.His spiritual life was greatly influenced by Cursillo, in which he was involved, for over 25 years. Community involvement included various sports activities. He was a Little League volunteer "Umpire-in-Chief" as well as a coach. After Little League, he became a sports official for football, volleyball, baseball, and swimming. Bud loved his God, his faith, his family and friends. His warm smile and great sense of humor will be missed. He is survived by his wife, Pauline, daughter Debbie Ross of Oneonta, N. Y. and seven sons. Thomas R. Horan (Jayne) of Scottsdale, Az. Horan (Bud Light) Ryan, Emily, Sean, Kyle, Chris "CJ", Kylie Horan, Steven and Thomas Brundage. Ashleigh Suhs, Kris Horn.
