Theresa M. Sanderson 65, of Hawthorne, N.Y. died on July 19, 2014 at her residence.
She was born on May 19, 1949 to Joseph and Bianca (nee D'Agosto) Annunziato
in White Plains, N.Y. She was a graduate of NYU on a basketball scholarship, she was considered the fastest woman point guard at five foot two inches tall. She was an avid skier and was a nurse at White Plains Hospital for thirty five years and spent twenty years in the ER and was considered the backbone of the ER. Theresa is survived by her mother, Bianca Annunziato of Hawthorne, N.Y. and by her devoted husband,
William Sanderson of Hawthorne, N.Y. and by her loving daughters, Rachael (Robert)
Benz of Hawthorne, N.Y. and Melissa (Michael) Kelly of Putnam Valley, N.Y. one brother, Joseph (Rosemary) Annunziato of Greenwich, Conn. Also survived by her four
cherished grandchildren, Gianna and Nicholas Benz and Ava and Lilah Kelly. five nieces and nephews, Michael, Steven and Tracy Annunziato and Katie Beaudry and
Andrew Smietana. daughter in law of Steven Sanderson and the late Rozlind. and
sister in law of Jane and John Smietana. Reposing Hawthorne Funeral Home on
