Thelma Millicent Davis (affectionately known as Moms) was born February 12, 1938 in Kingston, Jamaica to Ruby and Vivian Davis. She spend her early years in Jamaica where she later met and married David James. Thelma migrated to the United States in 1967 where she joined her parents. Thelma enrolled in Monroe College, worked very hard and later send for her family. Thelma worked at Jacobi Medical Center for 28 years. She also worked at Kingsbridge Nursing Home for many years until her retirement.
Thelma was a fun, loving, caring and compassionate person. She enjoyed traveling, spending time with family and friends. Thelma was a child of God, she attended church regularly until she was no longer able due to illness. Thelma passed away at home surrounded by her family.
She is survived by her children: Donna, Michael, Judith, Debbie-Ann, Sandra and Tyrone-Eleth Palmer, 13 grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends. Thelma will be greatly missed.
