Teresa Sherwood

Teresa Sherwood beloved wife of Peter W. Sherwood who predeceased her in 1997 passed away on January 24 at the age of 97. She was the loved and respected mother of Douglas Peter Sherwood her only son. She grew up in Essen, Germany where she worked as a nurse. She met her husband when he was stationed in Germany with the U.S. Army during World War II. Mrs. Sherwood was a volunteer in the gift shop at St. Agnes Hospital in White Plains for many years. Her interests included fashion, the stock market and travel. She loved her family, loved her dogs and loved to laugh. She was a member of the German Club of Greenwich. Mrs. Sherwood lived in White Plains, NY for 64 years and was a strong, sociable and independent woman.
