Sue Delsack

Sue was a woman of many talents and passions. She graduated University of Rhode Island with a BS in business administration and applied her savvy business acumen co-founding the regional chain of fabric and home goods stores around the Washington, D.C. area, the "Fabric Man."

When she was young, Sue was an avid tennis player. Sue also hosted weekly card games at her home. Few players "out-tricked" her in Bridge nor "melded" faster than her in gin rummy. She had a heart of gold and was always there to help others in need. She was a loving mother, a doting grandmother, and a loyal friend. Her kindness and generosity knew no bounds, and she touched the lives of so many people.

One of Sue's greatest joys in life was being a grandmother to Bryan and Nicole (and surrogate "mom/grandmother" to the family of her companion, Al). She had a special bond with Nicole and Bryan and never missed an opportunity to celebrate their milestone occasions - traveling from Bethesda to Manhattan most every spring for their birthdays and Bar/Bat Mitzvahs. Her love for them was unconditional, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Never was there a time she didn't sport an ear-to-ear smile with her sparkling blue eyes.

Although she may have suffered from MS for the last half of her life, she never let that define who she was as a person. Her strength, resilience, and positive attitude inspired all who knew her. She showed us that even in the face of adversity, one can still live a full and wonderful life - she celebrated her 88th birthday with fanfare a mere couple of weeks before her passing.

Sue was a true fighter, and her strength and courage were truly remarkable. She never gave up, no matter how difficult things became, and she faced every challenge with grace and dignity. Her unwavering positive outlook on life was an inspiration to all.

Although we are saddened by her passing, we take comfort in knowing that she is no longer in pain and that she is at peace. Her legacy will live on through the countless lives she touched and the memories she created. We will miss her dearly, but we will never forget the love, light, and joy she brought into our lives.

Rest in peace, dear ma and grandma. You will always be remembered and loved.
