Steven Thomas Schoener

Steven Thomas Schoener passed away peacefully in his sleep on February 24th, 2017 surrounded by his family.  He is survived by his wife of 42 years Nancy, four children Laura Abbatantuono (Joe), Steven (Mary), Kevin, Tommy (Molly), and five grandchildren.  He was born in the Bronx and moved to Hawthorne in 1976 where he raised his children.  In addition to a loving husband, father, and grandfather; he was a deli owner, a lab tech, a hospital administrator, a boater, a fisherman, a golfer, a coach, a scout leader, and a very active member of Emanuel Lutheran Church.  He will be greatly missed by his entire family and many friends. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home, Monday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. Funeral Mass, Emanuel Lutheran Church, Pleasantville, N.Y. on Tuesday at 10 AM. Interment private. In lieu of gifts please make donations to the Emanuel Lutheran Church or the USO of Metropolitan New York.
