Stephen John Paulo

Stephen John Paulo 96, of Greenwich, Conn and formerly of White Plains, N.Y. died on June 19,2017 at his residence. He was born on January 8, 1921 to the late Jack and Mary (nee Popp) Paulo in White Plains, N.Y. He proudly served his country during WWII as a decorated member of the US Navy and participated in the Invasion of Normandy, Invasion of Southern France and the Okinawa Operation. He was an avid golfer. Stephen was predeceased by his devoted wife, Marie (nee Valinoti) Paulo in 1990 and also predeceased by his son, Stephen Paulo in 2008 and his three deceased brothers, Carmine, John and Michael.  He is survived by his loving daughter, Deborah (Joseph) Mackin of Hawthorne, N.Y. his daughter in law, Peggy Paulo of Greenwich, Conn.  one brother, Matthew (Jen) Paulo of Gilbert, AZ and one sister, Claudette Marazio of Valhalla, N.Y. also survived by his six cherished grandchildren, Sandra Ryan, Kelly Lizzi, Michael Mackin, Tina Miller, Stephen Paulo and Jennifer Green, ten great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Wednesday, (today) 4-8 PM. Funeral Mass, Holy Rosary Church, Hawthorne, N.Y. on Thursday, 10 AM. Interment, Mt.Calvary Cemetery, Greenburgh, N.Y.
