Stephen Christos

Stephen Christos, 88, passed away comfortably on Saturday, April 23, 2016 in White Plains, New York. He was born August 18, 1927 to Stylianos (Steve) and Helen Christos in Nyack, New York. On August 22, 1964 he married Diane Russo in White Plains, New York.

Stephen was a veteran and served in WWII and the Korean War. He enjoyed music, sports and history. He was an instrumental music teacher in the Chappaqua, New York and Briarcliff, New York school districts for many years. He was a skilled musician and played in many bands and orchestras. Survivors include his wife Diane; his 2 sons, David Christos of Silver Spring, Maryland and Paul Christos of Fresh Meadows, New York; 2 grandchildren Sarah and Vanessa; as well as 4 nieces, 2 nephews, 2 daughter-in-laws, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; 1 brother Alex Christos; and 1 sister Dorothy Larson.

A time of gathering will be held Friday 2-4pm and 7-9pm, April 29, 2016 at Ballard-Durand Funeral Home, 2 Maple Avenue in White Plains. The funeral service will be held 10am at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, White Plains NY, 10605.
