Sophie " Sally " Palamara

Sophie (Sally) Palamara 83, of Hawthorne, N.Y. died on Feb.7, 2011 at Phelps Memorial Hospital Center in Sleepy Hollow, N.Y. She was born on April 29, 1927 to the late Pietro and Rosina (nee Famia) Dandreano in North White Plains, N.Y. She was an avid bingo player at Holy Rosary. Sophie is survived by her devoted husband Thomas W. Palamara of Hawthorne, N.Y. her loving children; Thomas J. Palamara and his wife Terry of Hawthorne, N.Y. and Barbara Heverly and her husband Kenneth of Hopewell Jct., N.Y. and son in law Ian McLean of Stormville, N.Y. Also survived by her six cherished grandchildren; Kristen and Dawn Palamara, Kari and Eddie Hauser and Daniel and Matthew Heverly. one great grandson, Joey Palamara and four great granddaughters; Arianna, Eden and Savannah Hauser and Fiona Oatley. Predeceased by her daughter Patricia McLean in 1995, and five brothers and two sisters. Also survived by her many nieces and nephews. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral Mass, Holy Rosary Church, Hawthorne, N.Y. on Thursday 10 AM. Interment, Mt.Calvary Cemetery, Greenburgh, N.Y. In lieu of flowers donations to American Cancer Society would be appreciated.
