Sherri Albalate

Sherri Albalate, a longtime resident of Greenburgh, died on September 12, 2011. She was 47. Mrs. Albalate was born on June 23, 1964 in Camp Lejeune, NC to Arthur and Barbara (Klein) Newman. She grew up in Howard Beach and then moved to Lake Mohegan. On August 9, 1992 she married Bert Albalate. She worked for Terramar Sports in Portchester for 19 years and was most recently the acting Tax Receiver for the Town of Greenburgh. In addition to her husband Bert she is survived by two sons, Max and Jake, and her brother Arin Newman. Visiting Wednesday 4-8pm, with a service at 7pm, at Ballard-Durand Funeral Home, 2 Maple Ave, White Plains. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations to Phelps Hospice, 701 North Broadway, Sleepy Hollow, NY 10591.
