It is with immense sorrow that we announce the passing of Sandra Lildharrie (née Persaud) on December 14, 2018. She was 56 years old. Sandra, former health care professional, world traveler, and dance enthusiast lived passionately and was generous to all around her. She arrived in New York City in the summer of 1976 from Whim Village, Berbice, Guyana, attended school in the Bronx and moved on to become a Westchester small business owner and philanthropist. Sandra was a longtime supporter of St. Jude's Hospital and national pediatric cancer research. She is remembered by her loving husband, Clarence Lildharrie, son, Julian C. Lildharrie, daughter, Sasha S. Lildharrie, daughter-in-law, Rookmini Singh, ten dear siblings, and her entire family worldwide. Brahmin Hindu burial rites will be performed at Ballard-Durand Funeral Home, White Plains, NY. A wake will be held Monday, December 17, 2018 from 4 to 10pm, procession on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 starting at 8am, where she will be brought to her private mausoleum in Woodlawn Cemetery, Bronx, NY.
