Salvatore Greco

Salvatore Greco 77, of Hawthorne, N.Y. died on March 2, 2010 at White Plains Hospital Center. He was born on Jan, 1, 1933 to the late Salvatore and Grace (nee Crupi) Greco in Piedimonte Eteneo, Sicily, Italy. Salvatore was a tailor and worked for Ralph Lauren Womenswear until his retirement.He was predeceased by his devoted wife Maria (nee Cardillo) Greco whom he married on September 7, 1957, until her death in 2008. He is survived by his loving daughter and devoted son in law Grace and Jay Singer and his two cherished Grandchildren David and Emily Singer all of Thornwwod, N.Y. Also survived by his two brothers; Ignazio and Antonino Greco and their families. Sal was devoted to his family and helped raise his two grandchildren. He taught them how to garden, sew and how to fix almost anything. He relished celebrating his two birthdays, enjoyed his times in Cape Cod and the monthly pancake breakfast after Sunday Mass. We will miss him. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Thursday ( Today ) 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral Mass Holy Rosary Church, Hawthorne, N.Y. on Friday 10 AM. Entombment, Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, N.Y. In lieu of flowers donations to either Burke Rehabilitation Hospital, White Plains, N.Y. or American Stroke Assoc. would be appreciated.
