Salvatore Castellano

Salvatore Castellano 72, of Thornwood, N.Y. died on Feb.20, 2010 at White Plains Hospital Center. He was born on Nov.21, 1937 to the late Giuseppe and Concetta (nee Caruso) Castellano in Guardia Lombardi, Avellino Italy. Salvatore workrd for Otis Elevator in Yonkers, N.Y. and later for Westchester Country Club in Rye, N.Y. as a carpenter. He was a member of the Kensico Italian American Club. Salvatore is survived by his devoted wife Pierina (Patty)(nee Troiani) Castellano of Thornwood, N.Y. His loving children; Joseph Castellano and his wife Elizabeth of Brewster, N.Y. Anthony Castellano and his wife Andrea of Norwalk, Conn. and Lorraine Masone and her husband James of Stamford, Conn. 1 brother Carmine Castellano and his wife Angela of West Harrison, N.Y. and 1 sister Nancy Castagna and her husband Vincent of Orange, Calif. Also survived by his seven cherished grandchildren; Emma, Danielle, Ashlee, Anthony and Michael Castellano and Kaitlyn and Sophia Masone. Reposing Hawthorne Funeral Home on Tuesday 5-9 PM. Funeral Mass, Holy Rosary Church, Hawthorne, N.Y. on Wednesday 10 AM. Entombment, Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, N.Y. In lieu of flowers, donations to American Cancer Society would be appreciated.
