Ryan James Bishop, 32, known for his dedication to his family and friends and positive attitude toward life, passed away unexpectedly at Westchester Medical Center on November 2, 2024.
Ryan was born on April 28, 1992 in Plattsburgh, New York, to parents Jamie Zielinski and Brian Bishop. He graduated from Peru High School in 2010. He studied at SUNY Plattsburgh and enjoyed his job working in Information Technology, helping people with their devices and service.
Ryan was a devoted son, grandson, brother, significant other, and father. Family and friends could rely on him to help when needed. He and the love of his life, Brianna, had been together for over 10 years. The happiest day of Ryan's life was when they found out they were pregnant with their son Jaxton, who has been his pride and joy ever since. He was the best father a child could ever have, and he loved Jaxton and Brianna with every piece of his heart.
The world lost a wonderful man, one who saw the best in everyone and supported them free of judgment. His presence was so simple and pure, he could light up a room with his smile and laugh. He loved music, playing guitar and singing, being outside, and spending time with his family and those he cared about.
Ryan is survived by his significant other, Brianna Currier, and son, Jaxton Bishop; mother, Jamie Zielinski, and step-mother, Mary Latour; siblings Sierra Zielinski, William Latour, and Brian Latour; cousins that he thought of as siblings, aunts and uncles, and his nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his father, Brian Bishop.
Services to honor and remember Ryan's life will be held at Peru Community Church, 12 Elm Street in Peru, New York on Saturday, November 9th, at 11:00am. A memorial will be held directly after the service across the street at the church hall. This will begin at 12pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Fundraiser supporting Brianna and Jaxton during this difficult time.
