Ruth Emmy Muenkel Terribile died June 26, 2015 in Raleigh, NC after a period of declining health. She was born April 2, 1926 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Joseph and Frieda Stoesser Muenkel. Having married and started her family in Queens Village, NY, Ruth lived in Pleasantville, NY for 44 years. She moved to Raleigh in 2013. One of Ruth's proudest achievements was graduating from Westchester Community College with an Associate Degree in Business. She worked for nearly 25 years at Westchester Community College in administrative and secretarial roles. Ruth loved playing the piano, reading mystery stories, and crocheting. Ruth is survived by her husband, David R Terribile of Queens, NY; her son, Mark Andrew Terribile of Mattawan, NJ; and her son and daughter-in-law Matthew Thomas Terribile and Janet Elaine Seabock of Raleigh, NC. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Ann Fenniman of Brooklyn, NY; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Richard and Santa Terribile of Staten Island, NY, and many loving nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9PM on Tuesday June 30th at Hawthorne Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held July 1st at Kensico Cemetery, Valhalla, NY. at 11AM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Pleasantville Ambulance Corp or Wake County, NC Meals on Wheels. HAWTHORNE FUNERAL HOME
