Ruth R. (MacKenzie) Howell

Ruth MacKenzie Howell, formerly of Bronx and Nanuet, N.Y. born in New York City, on October 5, 1922, was 99 years old when she passed away peacefully on June 9, 2022 at her daughter's home in Land o Lakes, Florida.

Ruth was preceded in death by her loving husband John Richard Howell, her sister Florence, and  brothers Stanley, Malcolm, Robbie, William, Gerard, and Bruce.  Ruth is survived by her brother Donald, her daughters Jonnie Ruth Spitler and Carolyn Sharples (Stuart), 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Ruth loved her family and enjoyed her many nieces and nephews and their families. She was a true New Yorker, having lived there until she was 97 when she moved to Florida. Although her eyesight was poor she loved cruises and traveling.

Funeral Mass, Our Lady Queen of Peace Chapel  at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, N.Y. on Friday, June 17, 2022 at 10 AM. Interment to follow.
