Rudolph Surace

Rudolph Thomas Surace of Hawthorne, NY - May 10, 1933 - January 21, 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Rudolph (Tom) Surace on January 21, 2025 at the age of 91. He was born on May 10, 1933 to Nancy (Annunziato) and Paul Surace in White Plains, NY.

Tom married the love of his life, Marie (Partenzi) Surace on November 13, 1955. Marie and Tom had 5 children. Tom, Michael (d), Stephen, Jean and Robert. He was a lifelong resident of Hawthorne. Tom was an Air Force Veteran and a devout member of the Holy Rosary Church in Hawthorne. He worked as a carpenter for the Teamsters Union 456 until he retired in 2000.  

Tom was predeceased by his Parents, 3 siblings, Dimitrio, Kay and Frances and his son, Michael. 

He is survived by his wife, Marie; Children, Thomas and his wife, Sandy, Stephen, Jean and Robert; Grandchildren, David, Christopher, Stephen, Tara, Robert Jr, and Gianna; Great-grandchildren, Stella, Dylan, Rocco, Sadie and Ryder; Brother, Dominick Surace and countless nieces and nephews.

He will be remembered for his strong will, his unwavering faith in Jesus Christ and his love and pride for his family. He will be sorely missed and never forgotten for his character and integrity. We have been blessed with his lifelong legacy that we will carry on in his memory. Visitation will beheld at Ballard Durand In Hawthorne on Friday, January 24, 2025. Mass will be held at Holy Rosary in Hawthorne on Saturday January 25 at 10 am. Entombment will be held at Gate of Heaven Cemetery immediately following Mass.
