Rose Capasso

Rose Capasso 91, a recent resident of the Hebrew Hospital Home of Westchester in Valhalla, N.Y. and formerly of Yonkers and Tuckahoe, N.Y. died on Nov. 24, 2011. She was born on Oct. 4, 1920 to the late Felice and Jenny (nee Vaccaro) LaManna in Tuckahoe, N.Y. Rose loved to cook and was a former cook at the St. Eugene's Convent in Yonkers, N.Y. in the 1960's and 1970's. Rose also loved trips to Atlantic City, playing bingo, traveling and was an avid Yankee Fan. She was predeceased by her devoted husband Cosmio (Gus) Capasso in 1976, her son Richard Capasso in 1972, her granddaughter and daughter in law. Rose is survived by her loving children; Jeannette Roberts of Jupiter, Fla., Barbara (Robert) Valentine of Valhalla, N.Y., Patricia (Benjamin) Variara of Deerfield Beach, Fla., Linda (Dennis) Dempsey of Jupiter, Fla., Joseph of Patterson, N.Y., Donald (Harriet) of Yonkers, N.Y., Thomas of Jupiter, Fla., Gary of Tequesta, Fla., Lawrence (Karen) of Yonkers, N.Y., Michael (Keri) of Mahopac, N.Y. Also survived by her 25 cherished grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson and one brother in Fla. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Sunday, 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral Mass, Holy Name of Jesus Church, Valhalla, N.Y. on Monday 10 AM. Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery, Hastings, N.Y.
