Rose D. Api was born in New York City on August 7, 1932 and grew up in the Bronx. She lived in New Rochelle for over 20 years and passed away on Wednesday, December 4, 2019. Her parents, Joseph Rubertone and Antoniette Margiotta Rubertone predeceased her in 1979 and 2006, respectively. She leaves behind her daughter Anne Marie and her husband Michael DeSantis and her son Joseph and his wife Joanne. The jewels in her life were her grandchildren Joseph, Victoria and her husband, Christopher. While Rose had no siblings, as the oldest maternal first cousin, she took on the role of "big sister."

As a single Mom in the 1960's, and 70's, she raised her two children and had a fifty year career with the Soap and Detergent Association. She worked her way through the ranks starting as a secretary and becoming the Director of Membership Services. She enjoyed organizing their annual conventions in Boca Raton Florida for 25 years. She was happiest when she had her family gathered around her. She was a great listener and had a beautiful smile. She will be missed by her family and friends and will forever be in our hearts.
