Rosabelle Charlie Skinner, daughter of the late Nora Coleman and Charlie Yancy was born on January 29, 1920, in Scottsburg, Virginia. She has been a resident of Tuckahoe, White Plains and Hartsdale.
Rosabelle attended Tuckahoe High School and later married Raleigh C Skinner. Their marriage would last until Raleigh was called home to God on October 20, 1972.
That union produced five children; Roslyn C. Washington of Walden, NY; Reginald L. Skinner of Cary, NC, Rochelle L. Thomas of Leesburgh, GA; Roland C. Skinner of White Plains, NY and Rosalie N. Paynter of Hartsdale, NY. Rosabelle was predeceased by her siblings; Paul Leroy Yancy Sr., Bessie L. Morris, Josephine Moore (Morris), Beatrice Terry, Joseph C. Yancy Sr., Lois E. Williamson, and William C. Yancy Sr.
Rosabelle loved saltwater fishing with her family and friends. In 1955 she hooked a 200lb plus tuna that required help landing. Beside being avid walker, she loved playing bridge throughout Westchester County and the Hamptons.
Rosabelle was blessed with many friends who knew her as Rose. Rose had 16 grandchildren (4 predeceased her); 35 great-grandchildren (1 predeceased her), and one great-great grandchild.
