Rocco C. Mondello 87, most recently of Danbury, Conn. and formerly of White Plains, N.Y. died on June 9, 2013 at his residence. He was born on Oct.28, 1925 to the late Rocco and Sarah (nee Petrosino) Mondello in White Plains, N.Y. He proudly served in the US Navy during WWII on the SS Bunker Hill.He ran a successful plumbing business in White Plains for many years and even in retirement continued those emergency service calls to his special clients. He enjoyed his many years at the Roma AC Club,
gym membership at the YMCA, was an avid golfer and stayed active til the end. He will be missed by his lifelong friends in White Plains who he meet with weekly. Rocco was predeceased by his devoted wife Mary (nee Asta) Mondello in 2009. He is survived by his loving daughter, Barbara (Joseph) Adelizzi of New Fairfield, Conn. brothers,
Charles (Terry) Mondello, Nicholas (Carol) Mondello and sister, Ann Ciaramella. Also survived by his sister in law Dolly Mondello and special friend Paul Caridi who was always there for him. Predeceased by his brothers, Joseph, Ralph, Frank and sisters,
Jenny Sinistore and Mary Cassolaro. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Wednesday, 4-8 PM. Funeral Mass, Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, White Plains, N.Y. on Thursday, 11 AM. Interment, Mt.Calvary Cemetery, Greenburgh, N.Y.
