Robert Polidore

Robert Polidore 89, of Thornwood, N.Y. died on Sept.16, 2020 at his residence. He was born on Oct.17, 1930 to the late Patsy and Angela (nee Cherico) Polidore in Yonkers, N.Y. He proudly served with the US Marines during the Korean Conflict. Robert was a retired Machinist with the County of Westchester. He is survived by his devoted wife, Dolores (nee LaRocco) Polidore of Thornwood, N.Y. and by his loving daughter, Barbara (Raymond) Vetrano of Ossining, N.Y. also survived by his three step daughters, Denise (Joseph) Riccardi of Somers, N.Y., Jennifer Pomplio of Thornwood, N.Y. and Toni (James) Vetrano of Briarcliff Manor, N.Y. also survived by his seven cherished grandchildren, Robert Polidore, Dana Vetrano, Raymond Vetrano, Jr., Nicholas Vetrano, Frank Pompilio, Lisa Pompilio and Joseph Riccardi and five great grandchildren. Predeceased by his beloved son, Gary Polidore in 2006, two brothers, Nicholas and Gary Polidore, two sisters, Mary Rister and Theresa Abato and granddaughter, Tina Pompilio in 1996. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Friday, 3-7 PM. Funeral Mass, Holy Name of Jesus Church, Valhalla, N.Y. on Saturday, 10 AM. Interment, Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, N.Y. In lieu of flowers donations in Robert’s name to Memorial Sloan Kettering would be appreciated.
