Robert Patterson

Robert B. Patterson, 80, a long-time resident of Brewster, NY, passed away on November 29,
2023. Born in Columbus, Ohio, to Robert Patterson, Sr. and Bernadine Patterson (nee
DelGiudice), he served in the U.S. Army in Alaska during the Vietnam War, afterwards attending
Elizabeth Seton College. Mr. Patterson worked as a Logistics Manager for General Motors
Corporation for 37 years primarily in Tarrytown, NY, as well as in Detroit, MI. He had a
tremendous interest in fitness which included weight lifting, boxing and attaining a black belt in
karate. Other passions included photography, ancestry and maritime research, travel and reading
about American history. He is survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins on the side of his
sister Bernadine Patterson Maher and his cousin Beatrice Queally McCarthy. He is pre-deceased
by his parents, his brothers Bruce (U.S.M.C., KIA in Korea) and Joseph (Ari Marcus), and his
sisters Bernadine Maher (Robert) and Kathryn. Funeral Mass will be on Thursday, December 7,
2023, at 11am, Gate of Heaven Our Lady Queen of Peace Chapel. Interment, Gate of Heaven
Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American
